Through the years attorneys in our firm have received many cards, letters, and notes of “thanks” for a great result. Unless clients have consented to the use of their name in the testimonial, we hold that information confidential and have replaced the client’s name with the client’s initials. Apart from that modification, here is a selection of the letters:
Ben:
Many thanks for your help in getting us through this. You have been efficient, professional, and very pleasant. I hope our paths cross again, but in different circumstances!
Dear Ben,
We were distraught beyond words when we learned our son was in need of a criminal attorney. Your father’s legacy as a legendary criminal attorney continues each day you enter the court. Thank you for easing our minds and exceeding our expectations.
Hey Sarah!
I hope you’ve had an awesome year so far. It’s been an amazing one for me. Challenging at times just adjusting to life, but such an incredible blessing! I can’t even begin to thank you enough for everything that you did to help on our case. A. C. is doing great in school. She has straight A’s so far, is taking violin, and is in Brownies. I’ll never be able to find words that adequately express my gratitude, but please receive this sincere thank you with as much significance as you can possibly afford and know how appreciative I am!
Sincerely, J.C.
To David Raybin. Case dismissed, Thanks a ton. I just want to extend a big thank you for the help with this little predicament. Vince Wyatt was outstanding this morning and everything went exceptionally well. I can move forward in confidence without worrying about this snafu following me in my career. I’ve got so much going on right now between work, and the job search that this could’ve been a huge pain. You guys handled it swiftly and I appreciate it. I hope I never require your services again but if anyone I know finds themselves in trouble I know who to send them to. Thanks again,
B. J.
I received word at the beginning of last year that my ex-wife was getting married and was going to try to take my daughter out of Tennessee. My heart froze and my life came to a screeching halt. She was already the primary residential parent and was her mom. It was going to be an uphill battle I knew. John Hollins Jr. was recommended to me and I am so thankful that he was! We met and right away I could tell that he really cared about my case and had extensive knowledge of the system. He told me it would be challenging and was honest and upfront about the outcome, but said that we would do everything within our power to see that my daughter was safe and could stay here in Tennessee. He and Sarah Perky worked very hard to gather all the information that we needed, stood beside me every step of the way, helped me prepare to clear contempt charges, and as new information came they moved swiftly to use it for my benefit. As a result of their hard work I can stand here today and say that I have my daughter living with me almost full time. I am grateful beyond words and highly recommend this wonderful team!!
Jason
Walking through a custody battle with our son, who was fighting to get primary custody of his daughter and prevent his ex-wife from taking her out of state to live with her and her new husband, was the most horrible experience of our lives. Knowing that this new husband was not safe for our granddaughter heightened the pain and anxiety. Add to this the stress of working through the family law system in Tennessee – a system that seems to favor the mother, regardless of the circumstances – it was almost unbearable. When we knew this battle was impending, we asked our corporate attorney to recommend the best family law/custody attorney he knew; he recommended John Hollins, Jr., and we were glad he did. John and his co-counsel, Sarah Richter, helped us fight every step of the way, walking us through the morass of the legal system. John’s handling of the depositions was brilliant – asking, phrasing, and rephrasing questions until he elicited the information he needed. He was very savvy in dealing with court requirements and proceedings. Sarah’s relentless effort in keeping up with details and knowing the ins and outs of custody law was evident. Due to the miraculous event of a witness stepping forward and giving testimony, our son did not have to go to trial and he now has primary custody of his daughter (John and Sarah crafted the new custody documents). However, we knew that John’s courtroom strengths would have given our son every advantage possible, and we know we can count on his skills if ever they are needed in the future.
With regards, B.C.
John Hollins Jr. was recommended by a good friend and came as a great blessing to me at a difficult time. His integrity, attention to detail and wisdom clearly set him apart. I always felt prepared for the next step because of him taking the time to educate me on the process and answering my many questions. John was always quick to reply to emails and phone calls which was comforting as well. I will forever be grateful!”

As the relative of a mentally ill young person who was thrust into the Tennessee Criminal Justice system, I cannot overstate the gratitude we feel for Mr David Raybin for guiding us to an optimum outcome. The charges and potential penalties at issue were too important to entrust to any attorney but the very best, and we feel fortunate to have had Mr Raybin on our side. Going in, we were scared silly, completely naive, and clueless as to what we were facing, as I suspect most folks would be. We had lots of questions! Mr Raybin kept us completely informed every step of the way and was always accessible. Of course he is certainly knowledgeable, but he also never failed to be gracious and understanding in dealing with some tough psychological issues. From my family’s perspective, he went well above and beyond our expectations. We knew going in of his sterling reputation, and we now know it is well-deserved. To anyone finding themselves in similar circumstances, I highly recommend him.
John Hollins Jr. was recommended to me by another attorney in town, and the recommendation was the best I could have gotten. John and his staff are extraordinary. My divorce and custody case was long, drawn out, and downright traumatic. The post-divorce issues have been equally terrifying. Nevertheless, they have walked me through every step of this long, arduous journey. They are strong, efficient, sensitive, and kind. Robyn, Vince, Sarah, and John listened to me, held me up and guided me through rough waters. I have cried on their shoulders and vented my frustration more times than I care to admit. And, yes, they have laughed with me too. John and his staff are thorough, and more importantly, they are effective. I received clear instructions and good guidance. John is a clear advocate of negotiating out of court, but when we are forced to go, he is an excellent litigator. In addition, the judges in Williamson County really seem to respect him. I am not a celebrity client nor am I a remotely wealthy one, but they have always treated me as if I was. I believe it is because they truly care about obtaining good outcomes for me and, most importantly, my young son. I have heard so many stories about lawyers practicing for the money, but the people at this firm are truly kind, decent, and extraordinarily ethical. My son’s welfare has always been first and foremost for them, and for that, I owe them the world.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank David Weissman for his representation. Although my case was minor compared to some of your firm’s other cases Mr. Weissman made me feel as though I was equally important. Going into this I had no clue as to what would happen or what was expected of me, but on our initial meeting he sat down with me and explained everything that I needed to know and exactly what would happen. Mr. Weissman is not only a Great Attorney, but an honest one. People think when they are dealing with lawyers that they are only looking out for how much money they are going to make, but that is not the case with him. Everything Mr. Weissman said he would do, he did. Everything Mr. Weissman said would happen, happened. I can’t express how satisfied I am with Mr. Weissman’s representation. I would highly recommend him to anyone who was looking for a “GOOD ATTORNEY” to represent them in a personal injury suit. From the bottom of my heart all I can say is,
Thank You.
L.L.
Sarah [Perky],
I wanted to take a moment to send a personal note of appreciation to you. Words cannot express how truly thankful we are for all you have done, and continue to do, for CH. We appreciate so much your research and attention to detail, your careful preparation of the legal documents, your presence at the hearing in December, and your persistent patience with our ongoing questions as well as the expertise/knowledge with which you answer them. We know no one can say with any certainty what a judge will decide, but we remain resolute in our belief the positive decisions we have received from [the Judge] thus far are a direct result of the talent, wisdom, and skill of all of you there. We know there is still a trial yet to come, and we believe, regrettably, we are likely to continue to have periodic legal difficulties with CH’s former spouse through the months and years ahead. But, it is such a reassurance to us to know we have the very best counsel we could possibly hope to have to help us in those matters. Please know, we are truly, humbly, inexpressibly grateful to have you representing us.
Wishing you a wonderful day and fantastic weekend,
Most Sincerely,
KH
Vince,
I want to thank you for representing me. I am very pleased that the DUI charges were reduced to Reckless. Thank you for all your work. I really appreciate it.
Best Regards, N. W.
David [Raybin] ,
I want to thank you again for all your help and support with my case. Your expertise and consummate professionalism not only helped me get the best possible outcome, they were also a source of strength that helped me and my family through a very traumatic time. Your reputation as “the best” is well earned, and I will recommend you without hesitation.
Thank you. D L
Dear David Weissman,
When you took me as your client, I knew that I would never really be able to repay you for what you did for me. I knew I wouldn’t have much after all the bills, so I saved up all the loose change all this time so that I could at least give you something. I made it myself, so I hope you like it. It’s not much, but I did my best. My parents and I appreciate what you did more than you’ll ever know. And not only are you the best lawyer, but you gave me a great reference for a job. I can start again, without all the medical bills over my head. I won’t have to worry about my parents being sued by the bills, and if we’d be able to eat that month because we had nothing left. You gave us life (before all the surgery and pain) back, too.
David, thank you so much.
Sincerely, T.S.
Dear Mrs. Perky,
I want you to know how much I appreciate all that you have done for me during this difficult journey. I knew I was in good hands and lessons learned! … Much gratitude and blessings to you. S.B.
Mr. Wyatt is a very intelligent, easy to talk to, and communicates well. He took the time to clearly explain legalities and relieved a lot of anxiety through what was a very difficult time for me. Unlike most lawyers he does what he says he is going to do and actually gets back to you promptly when you try and reach him. This guy is a stand up, no nonsense, customer service orientated professional. You would be a fool not to hire him if you needed someone to represent you. PERIOD! Shane.
Dear Mrs. Perky,
Thanks for everything! I hope you have a wonderful holiday! You are one of those stars on my tree this year that I am most grateful for… E.L.
Mr. Hollins, Sr.,
I wanted to thank you for hanging in there with me on this journey. I feel very blessed to have had you and John Jr. fighting for me. I have written you a short poem. I am not sure if it is poetically correct but it is what came through my heart.
Through the trials and tribulations of life I found you Angels watching over me Lead me to you You have been an angel to me Here on earth Giving me the strength I needed To see this through I appreciate your respect and your kindness I look forward to my new life And friendship with you.
Love, L. A. P.
To the Firm of Hollins, Raybin & Weissman: We recently concluded a lawsuit that was handled by Dave Weissman. We were very nervous through the whole litigation. A bad result could have destroyed what took us a lifetime of hard work to earn. Dave very professionally represented us and was able to convince a jury to rule in our favor. We know you are the best. A. & L.
Dear Mr. Wyatt:
I just wanted to thank you again for all of your help with my trial. I am sure I was not the easiest client but you were extremely patient and helpful. I am extremely grateful for all your work and of course for the outcome! I hope you and your family have a great year. Many thanks, A. W.
Our legal system has become very complex and when dealing within the legal system it is important to have an advocate who is knowledgeable of the law and will work diligently to see that you are well represented. Vincent Wyatt was that attorney for me. When I did not understand a process, he took the time to explain it clearly through each step. He was very realistic in explaining where we were within the case and explained the experience or knowledge of this type of litigation. I do feel that Me. Wyatt went beyond my expectations on my behalf and I am grateful for that effort. I have worked with a number of attorneys in the past in a variety of legal issues and feel that if I was in need of legal advice, I would definitely seek his counsel on handling the issue or his reference to someone who specialized in the type of legal matter at issue. Thanks, Michael.
David [Raybin], Thank you for returning my phone call so promptly this afternoon. I really appreciate our conversation. Thank you for candidly explaining this process to me and for building up my confidence in the system and in you. K.F.
David [Raybin], I wanted to thank you again for everything you did in representing me today. Even now, I’m still realizing just how blessed I am at this “second chance” which you made possible for me. I sincerely appreciate you taking my case. I also was grateful that you stayed with me to the very end of the probation procedure, which I noticed none of the other attorneys doing for their clients. Thank you, L.P.
Dear David [Raybin], I simply cannot thank you enough for what you have done for the D. family. Your expertise was beyond more than any of us could have hoped for, but more than that your patience, effort and friendship helped take us all over a very dark period in our lives. J.D.
Dear Vince, Thank you for a job well done in defending our civil suit. Even though the amount of monies sought in the case was of minor proportion, your skill and tactfulness was a major coup in defending our reputation. Your firm is very fortunate to have such a bright attorney in their employment. We wish you the best of luck in your legal career and will most definitely consider your services in the future if the need arises. Best Regards, F.F.
Dear David [Raybin], I received the child support payment in Friday’s mail and I cannot describe how wonderful I feel. I can breathe again! There is no way I can thank you adequately for all you have done to help the children and me. You fought for us in ways that no one else would or could. Your kindness, generosity, and resolve (some would call it “no deal” stance) have been extraordinary. A.B.
Vince,
Thank you again for your help! You were truly a blessing! Hope you and your family enjoy Christmas and have a Happy New Year! V. G.
Dear Mr. Raybin, Thank you for your assistance during our recent difficulties in Nashville. Your very timely and reassuring response was a great source of comfort to us and within a very short time, your promise that “we (would) get through this,” seemed possible. I particularly appreciate your sound guidance both regarding the cause of action to take with Vanderbilt as well as how to deal with J. Yours was truly the voice of reason and I can’t tell you how appreciative I am to have had the benefit of your counsel. S.T.
Dear David [Raybin], David, David, David, what can I say except thank you so very much for your input in gaining my release November 3. I want to drop by for a few minutes upon my release to say hello and thank you in person. I have a very good friend coming up for parole in January that’s interested in hiring you. Again, thank you and my family thinks you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread. E.D.
Dear Mr. Raybin, Again, I cannot thank you enough for the courage, care, and concern for all of us in the W. family.
Dear Mr. Raybin, My Husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you formally for representing him at his parole hearing on June 6th. The care and concern evident by you makes us realize we live in a society where one can make a mistake but guidance and support changes our lives and we deserve the right to prove ourselves. Respectfully yours, P.E.
Vincent Wyatt handled my case with effective tenacity. He managed all aspects and since I was out of town, he kept me informed on all issues. His knowledge and familiarity with the Nashville courts were instrumental in the proper handling of the case. I highly recommend Mr. Wyatt. He’s smart, prepared, and available. Thanks, Warren.
I thought Mr. Wyatt did a great job with my case. I felt he was truly trying on my behalf and I will definitely use him again if needed. Jim.
Dear David [Raybin], I wanted to thank you again for your assistance and wise counsel with my recent difficulties in Nashville. Your counsel and assistance took a great load off of my mind and allowed me to concentrate on the more pressing matters of the day. Trying criminal cases is difficult enough. Without the willingness of fellow members of the bar to sacrifice their time and come to our assistance, it would be nearly impossible. D.S. (an attorney)
Dear David [Raybin], I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your help. This has been one of the most trying times of me and my family’s life. Your concern, legal abilities and kindness are greatly appreciated. R.S.
Dear David [Raybin], You are an inspiring man. I cannot say how much your fighting for us has meant to me, to C., and especially to J. No one who even knows you will be a loser. We were able to fight with you and Jackie, to know your wisdom, courage, and compassion; to feel your balanced hope and compromise. We would never have received any question from the system without you and we are so thankful for you help and for standing with us and for us. I understand that this is your favorite wine so please celebrate. Thank you, S.J.
I never had a chance to tell you that Vince Wyatt did a great job defending my daughter on her recent DUI charge. She has had over a year of thinking about her mistake daily and worrying about the consequence non-stop. Needless to say, she has behaved scrupulously with respect to her driving and use of alcohol. In the end, Vince was able to get the sentence reduced to reckless driving which will make her vet school applications much less abhorrent to admissions committees.
She’s a lucky girl but I believe, she has more than learned her lesson and will not soon forget the past year. Someday, she’ll get over it enough to let me tell parents about my child’s experience with “the law of gravity.”
Please tell Vince that she voted him in the most recent Scene Magazine’s “Best in Nashville” as the “Best DUI Lawyer” –I’m sure he’s thrilled! I didn’t vote, but do appreciate his efforts on her behalf. Thanks for the referral. Thanks, A. S.
Dear David [Raybin], You really came to my family’s rescue at a time that was crucial to both her well-being and that of ours. We are grateful for your dedication to helping those of us who call upon you in these serious times. I believe that you can do what you say you can, as long as you have the cooperation of those that are being helped. Now, about that walking on water . . . just how DO you do that? V.J.
Dear Mr. Raybin, I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for the work you did on my case. I know that in the general scheme of things, my case was probably pretty small compared to other deals you work on, but the time you gave to it was just the right amount to fix things up. I am indebted to you, as are my mother and father. I think it is more than safe to say that I have learned my lesson and I will be sure to keep my nose clean from here on out. I hope your holiday season isn’t to busy. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thank you. J.V.
Dear Mr. Wyatt:
I sincerely appreciate everything you have done and all the court appearances you had to be present for. You and your family will always be in my prayers. THANK YOU!! Thanks for all the hard work!!
V. G.
Vince Wyatt handled a legal matter for me recently and I was impressed by his level of knowledge, professionalism and candor. He communicated well with me from start to finish and he took the time to answer all of my questions. He never made me feel as though he would rather be talking to another client. I was thoroughly impressed by him and would recommend him to others in a heartbeat. Mark.
Dear Vincent:
Thank you for all you have done. I wouldn’t of made it without you. Hope you have a great summer! Thanks very much! Sincerely, J. K.
Mr. Raybin, Thank you so much for help with K.A. We are certain you are not a lawyer at all, but an angel practicing law. D & J
Dear Friend, [David Raybin], Please know my great and sincere appreciation for your time spent with me regarding my son, E. Your knowledge, skill and integrity are wonderful companions with your compassion. Our Lord be with you always in all ways. R.S.
Dear Mr. Wyatt:
On behalf of my family I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for your help with the expungement of the charges.
We were very impressed with your professionalism and your friendly demeanor that made us feel very comfortable and at ease in such a stressful situation.
I will do as you have instructed and keep a copy of this expungement order along with all my important documents.
Again I thank you and if I ever hear of someone in need of a great attorney in Tennessee, I will highly recommend you. Sincerely, J. E. M.
David [Raybin] There aren’t enough words for me to express how much T. and I thank you for everything you did and have done for us. I know in my heart that my son wouldn’t be here today if you hadn’t done all that you did and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We will never forget all the wonderful things you did for us, all of your hard work, your time and all of your efforts. You are a lawyer God sent to us, you are such a wonderful man and we have been very blessed to have met you and to have had you in our corner helping us, and because of all of your help and efforts. T. is with me today and I take case and God Bless. S.T.
Dear Mr. Raybin, Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am keenly aware that in the “big picture” of your practice, I am just a tiny speck, but I need you to know that you’ll never have a more grateful client. You saved my life. I really can’t imagine what it would have been like to have the children who trust me – and have trusted me through the years – hearing the horrible garbage about me on the news. I have no doubt that you would have fought for me and proved my innocence, but by then the damage would have been done. Please add my thanks to your mother for teaching you to read!! Gratefully, A.G.
David [Raybin], You are the type of lawyer they talked about in law school and suggested we strive to become. Thank you, it was an honor to be in the courtroom with you. K. T. [A lawyer on "other side" of the case]
Dear David [Raybin], You’ll never know how much your support meant to us! I know exactly why you are listed on “The Best 100 Lawyers in America” . . . God put you there!!! You’re the best and your purpose is BIG!!! B.H.
Dear Mr. Raybin, Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule and such short notice to provide me with council. Your encouragement and advice helped me through the hearing. I appreciate everything that you have done to help me. Enclosed is the check to pay for your services. Thank you again! Sincerely, J.Y.
Dear David [Weissman]; This letter comes as an expression of our sincere appreciation for your successful legal representation throughout my wife’s recent slip and fall case. After her injury and subsequent surgery, when it became obvious that she would have to file suit in order to recover damages I was very concerned that my wife’s lack of experience in our legal system coupled with her natural desire to please others might make her vulnerable as a witness and therefore might be exploited by the opposing parties. Her pre-existing back problems and other medical issues were such that I was also fearful that winning the case could be difficult. We interviewed other attorneys but chose you not only because of your extensive experience with slip and fall cases, but also due to your in-depth knowledge of the medical aspects of her injury. During our initial meeting you impressed us as a true expert in your area of practice and a highly ethical lawyer. We sensed that you would genuinely hold her best interests at heart throughout the case. The outcome of the case proved to us that we chose the right attorney. I especially want to thank you for taking the time to meet with us on a regular basis throughout the case in order to keep us informed of developments. Doing so afforded my wife a great deal of peace of mind. As our settlement reflects, you were able to evaluate the nuances of the case in order to anticipate and deal with potential weaknesses. David, you have made a difference in our lives and for that, we will always be profoundly thankful. Warm Personal Regards, M. and B. T.
Dear David [Raybin], I writing you this card to let you know how much I appreciate all that you are doing for me. When I have a problem you are right there for me. I want you to know you are my rock. I believe strongly in your ability as a lawyer and I look forward to going to trial so I can see you do your thing. I hope you have a bless day. D.D.
Dear David [Raybin], W. and I want to thank you for representing our son-in-law R.G. in Montgomery County Court on October 20, in Clarksville. You did a great job and we appreciate the fact that you worked out a retirement of charges with nothing showing up on his record. We had not realized this was possible. We appreciate what you did beyond wordLos. R.H.
Please allow me to thank you and your firm for the tremendous job Vince Wyatt did on behalf of my daughter, C. D. I do not know if it would have been possible for anyone to have provided better representation. Thanks again. E.D.
HUGE THANKS TO YOU, DAVID [Weissman] !
David, this was really beyond our hopes. We cannot begin to express our appreciation for your professional judgment and guidance. Once again, we are in your debt. If ever there is even some tiny thing we can do to assist in making your life better, please provide us with the opportunity.
Warmest Regards,
Mike and Barbara Terrell
